In addition to these formal teaching experiences,
I have been designing and facilitating popular
education workshops since 2000. I began using popular education
techniques for English language classes with community development
organizations in Slovakia. From 2006 to 2008, I worked as a part-time
educator at the Brooklyn Center for the Urban Environment, leading
interactive workshops on urban planning and urban studies for elementary,
middle and high school students. In total, I have facilitated over
100 participatory workshops, strategic planning meetings, and other
community meetings.
